About the manufacturer
Bonraybio, founded in 2016 in Taichung, Taiwan and listed on the Taipei Exchange since December 2024, develops AI-driven optical semen analysis systems under the LensHooke® brand.
Its devices are sold in 53 countries and backed by 90 granted patents, spanning routine semen analysis, sperm DNA fragmentation testing and centrifuge-free sperm separation for assisted reproduction.
Sealed single-use cassettes replace manual chamber loading, so results depend far less on which technician is on shift. Published inter-operator reproducibility is ICC 0.89, and a full X3 PRO report takes one to two minutes without a microscope.

Technology
A camera and an algorithm instead of a counting chamber and manual reading. We also set out the two things the analyser does not do.
A built-in video microscope captures real fields inside a sealed disposable cassette. Image processing derives concentration from unit density, motility from frame-by-frame trajectory tracing, and morphology from AI classification.
No staining, dilution or centrifugation for routine analysis: load the cassette, insert it and read. Staining applies only to the CR0 morphology slide and the R10/R11 DFI kits.
Reference values follow the WHO Laboratory Manual for the Examination and Processing of Human Semen, 5th and 6th editions.
Volume is not measured by the analyser and is entered separately; morphology below 4% normal forms should be verified manually. We state this up front so your andrology team can plan for it.
